PEBBLES

Once upon a time, there was a precious puppy princess named Pebbles who was locked in a tower by an evil queen - we'll call her stepmother. Actually, we'll let her tell you: My name is Pebbles (aka Princess Petronella Rockingham IV of LapDogvia) and I'm looking for a castle of my own. While I'm a treated like a princess now, I come from very humble beginnings, much like Rapunzel. I was taken from my mom and locked up in a cage by my evil stepmother who told me my only use was to raise puppies with she could sell to the highest bidder. Once I was no longer useful to her, she got rid of me. Lucky for me, Dolly's swooped in and saved me. Now I can live out my real destiny as a pampered princess pooch Since I had such a rough start in life, I am looking for a very specific type of castle of my own and Dolly's promised they would find it for me. After raising so many babies, I'm kind of over hustle and bustle. I really want a quiet castle rather than a noisy one filled with children. All that noise and hubbub is just too much for me at this stage in my life. I require a small dog friend or two to help show me how to live life like a normal dog in my new castle - having been in my tower, I am not really sure how to "dog". (For example, climbing down locks of my luscious hair to go outside and do my business was truly impractical - so I can hold it for a really long time, I just don't yet know how to tell someone that I have got to GO. My foster mom kindly laid out pee pads for me, that's convenient. Especially in the rain. ) As for humans, I need very kind, patient humans to show me what it is like to be loved. I am a quiet, gentle girl but just need to learn to trust my humans. I will follow you everywhere, I will ensure the bathtub monster doesn't eat you, but if you try to pick me up before I'm ready to be picked up, or make eye contact when I'm feeling stressed, I will panic and run. I love hooves but don't understand "treats" or "cookies." I don't mind kennels but I would rather sleep in your arms. My favorite thing is to sit on your lap and just be together. Dolly's has assured me they will only accept the perfect castle and family for me to assume my rightful place as princess. Are you my Happily Ever After? Pebbles is a female long-haired Dachshund, weighs 10 lbs and was born 4-15-16. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & given a Proheart injection for 6 months of heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $550 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
