Hello I’m Philly. Would you like to hear my story? Well I was found abandoned near a sandwich shop with my six siblings in Oklahoma. Some pretty amazing people took care of us and told Dolly’s all about us. And how could Dolly’s say no to these faces?! We were all given sandwich names to honor this turning point in our lives. Now I am in Nebraska living in a foster home.  Not only am I a seat thief but I’m also a heart thief. I’m just a real lovable guy who likes to play with toys, sticks, and maybe a potted plant on occasion. Speaking of plants, I love when my foster mom waters them with the big hose because I love playing with the water! It’s fun to bark at it and try to catch it with my mouth. I don’t always get it but I have fun trying! I love playing with the resident dogs and other foster dogs (Twinkie and my sister French Dip) who I do really well with. I don’t need a sibling but they sure are fun! I’m getting tired just thinking of all the fun I like to have. This makes me want to find a cozy couch or chair - maybe yours if you get up - and take a little snooze. I sure do love to nap especially if there’s a warm lap next to me. Rub my belly and I’m all yours. I’m getting pretty good with my kennel—I’ve learned the word “kennel” and will go right in if you have a little treat. I’m also getting the hang of sit. I like learning and am pretty attentive if there are yummy treats involved. I even learned how to use the doggy door without anyone showing me so I can take myself outside to go potty! I just am a fun loving, cuddly guy and I hope you’ll save a seat for me at your home so I can hang out with you furever. Some info for my forever family: my neck measures 12” for collar size and chest measures 20” for harness size. I sleep in a 30” kennel but will be ready for a bigger one soon. Philly is a Mountain Cur mix, weighs 16 lbs (but growing!) and was born approximately 5/9/2020. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventive, dewormed & started on heartworm preventive. Adoption fee is $575 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
