Phoebe is a sweet and fearless little girl. Phoebe is becoming more and more energetic every day and is learning how to play with toys. She is also willing to snuggle and loves to nap. Phoebe has not been around kids or cats, but she is in her foster home with another dachshund. The two dogs play great together.
She has not shown any signs of aggression. She is working on house-training and is improving every day. A moderately experienced dog owner is needed because she does have some separation anxiety issues (understandably). But again, she’s noticeably improving every day with being separated from her foster mom and foster dad when they go to work. A fenced yard is not required as long as you are near grass and would be willing to walk her when she learns how to walk on a leash. She is still a little fearful to go outside but is calm when she gets outside. No special needs or medical issues (knock on wood).
Overall, she is so sweet and snuggly and has so much love to give. Phoebe will be the greatest “Friend!”

Requirements to adopt Phoebe:

*Exceptional veterinary reference with responsible pet ownership history

*No kids in the home age 12 or under

Phoebe is a long-haired Dachshund who was born 12-10-16. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on heartworm preventative.  Adoption fee is $500 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. If interested in adopting one of our available dogs or puppies, you must first complete an online adoption application at https://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will be contacted by our adoption coordinator via email after your application has been reviewed & approved to schedule an appointment. Our website is updated daily, pets that are listed are still available.
