If you wrapped up silliness & pure joy and covered it with fur, it would be Phoebe! She is full of antics and is always making everyone smile. She is a real hoot! Phoebe gets along with the resident dog and mostly ignores the cats. She is fostering in an adult-only home so we have not had her around children. She is a very active girl and loves to be outside and wrestle with her foster sister. She also loves to go on walks. She would do best going to a home that has another active dog that she could play with as well as a fenced yard and also active owners who will take her for regular walks. Phoebe is very affectionate and loves to get up in your lap and give hugs. She is all about ignoring personal space. She is housetrained and has not had any accidents in the house. She does not like being crated and will bark if she is put in her crate. Phoebe is an absolute delight & will charm her way right into your heart!
Phoebe is a Wirehaired Dachshund/Portugese Podengo (our best guess of breeds, we cannot be certain) who was was born approximately 4-10-21 and weighs 17 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, provided life-saving heartworm treatment and started on heartworm prevention. She must be kept on monthly heartworm prevention without exception since she has had heartworm treatment. Adoption fee is $550 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
