PHOEBE

Hi my name is Phoebe. I was found in Oklahoma just days away from delivering my puppies. I was brought to Nebraska when my babies were 4 days old. I was such a wonderful and nurturing mama. My puppies are grown now so it is time to start my next chapter in life. I am such a happy loving girl. My tail is constantly wagging when I am awake. I like to do zoomies in the back yard but I also like to be a couch potato. I am learning snuggling is fun and absolutely love my belly rubbed. I also enjoy my soft ears being rubbed and being told I am a good girl. Car rides make me a little nervous but I’m learning that there's nothing to be scared of. Now that I am done with my mother duties I am working on my dog skills. I can sit and am house trained. I am still working on walking on a leash. I do not sleep in a kennel as my foster family has a rule no messes, no kennel and I have held my part of the deal. I love playing with all my toys and love to play fetch. I am still working on consistently returning them but I know ill get the hang of it. I love squeaker toys. Sometimes a little to well as I tend to find them. I haven’t been around kids but I do get excited and sometimes like to jump on people so kids 6 and older would be best so I don’t knock the little ones over. I hope to find a home that will want to share their couch and be as happy to see me as I am to see you. Phoebe is a Dachshund/Feist mix and was born approximately 1-1-17, weighing a hefty 37 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventative. Adoption fee is $450 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
