POLAR

Polar is a very sweet & playful pup who would do great in a home as an only dog or even in a home with another dog to play with. If there is to be another dog in the home they must love to play as she gets so excited when seeing other dogs she will jump up to kiss them and play as she has no boundaries and gets so excited. She loves playing and wrestling around with her three foster brother pups and her sister Panda. With Polar still being a puppy she is working on potty training but slowly getting the hang of it more and more. We are trying to work on commands as she is very food motivated. She absolutely loves big squeaky toys, especially when they’re bigger than she is. She loves to be brushed and does well when clipping her nails. It is very important to have pups at a young age get used to having things like that done. The leash is something we’re going to start working with her on as she has never been on one before. For now she loves to be carried around. Hopefully she knows she can’t always be a lap dog. She is gonna be a big girl! We have been teaching her and her sister that the kennel is a safe place and not a punishment. She has no problems going in and out but may need bribed to go in there at times. She will sleep in there throughout the whole night without making a sound. Due to her breed and size, she will need to have a fenced in yard and be in a home with kids over the age of 6. She hasn’t met any cats but with how young she is I’m sure she will try and play with them as she thinks she needs to be friends with everyone she has met. Since she is still a puppy she is very active & teething so she is still learning not to nibble. She has been doing very well when redirected with toys. Polar loves to cuddle with her people more so than with other pups but she also enjoys at times hanging out with the big dogs. This girl is just the sweetest and I know once you meet her you will fall in love with her fluffiness. Hurry and put an application in if you would like to meet this gal, she will melt your heart!

*Must own a home with a fenced yard or acreage; no apartment, no exceptions

*Must have exceptional veterinary reference, Grooming reference & pet ownership history

Polar came into rescue from Oklahoma where she was found as a stray with her sister, Panda, and went unclaimed. Polar is a growing female Spaniel/Border Collie mix puppy (our best guess of breeds) who was born approximately 10-10-22. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed and started on flea/heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $650 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
