POPPY

Hi, my name is Poppy! My foster grandma thinks I’m a timid, sweet little girl that need lots of love. I’m working on being the best little addition to a family that I can be. I’m still getting familiar with my new surroundings, but doing very good at house training, not making messes and not chewing on things. I love to cuddle and kiss, and sometime I might get your finger in my mouth, but I don’t really bite down, Im just nibbling. Maybe small children wouldn’t understand that I’m just playing. My best family would be on the quiet side, because loud voices make me afraid and I curl up in a ball. I can sleep in a kennel, after I tell you in my high pitched cry, that I’m not real happy about it, and I'd rather be in bed. I do like to run and play outside, so a yard would be nice, and I jump pretty high, so I need at least a 4’ fence. I have not done much leash walking, but I could learn real easy. I love to be by my human all the time, so if you are looking for a best buddy and looking to add onto your family a real family member I’m just what you are looking for. Poppy is a Chihuaha/Rat Terrier mix, weighs 10 pounds and is aroud 1 year old. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventative. Adoption fee is $450 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
