ROC STAR

Hi! My Name Is ROC STAR

We're happy to tell you that ROC STAR has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.
I’m RocStar, but, YO! I prefer Rocky! I know my name and respond to it. I’ll sit for you, too, if you ask nicely. My previous life was a chain, a tree...and me. Recently, things have changed substantially. I left Oklahoma and came to Nebraska. I got neutered and immediately started 2 months of heart worm treatment. As a result, combined with pandemic restrictions for my humans, I haven’t been out and about a lot. My knowledge is still kind of limited to the chain, the tree...and me. But, I’ll tell ya what I’ve learned. I think I’ll probably always be a one-person (maybe 2) kinda dog. And, I think I’d prefer to be the only dog in the home. I see few uses for cats. Other dogs can kind of get on my nerves. And, I have NO experience around kids. So, the jury is still out on them. I go outside to do my business. And, I really appreciate that fence-thing around the yard. I love to cuddle (on the couch). And, I WILL sleep on a bed...yours! I like to wake up gently and roll around in bed and snuggle, before getting up to face the day. If I could have all my wishes, I’d like a human I could spend all day with. I like riding in cars and pickups (cab, not the bed). I particularly like going for a ride in the evening, after supper. I don’t like being by myself, or being locked in a kennel. You’d be surprised at the noise I can make. I came to Nebraska with just a tiny circle of friends. I’m learning that many humans can be trusted, but I’m cautious in my acceptance. You would be, too! But, once I lock into you...we’ll be a tight team, forever. Roc Star is a Lab/Pointer mix, weighs 51 lbs and was born approximately 7/27/2017. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed. Roc Star received life-saving treatment for heartworm disease. He will need to remain on heartworm preventative for life, as is recommended for ALL dogs, and retested in 6 months to ensure he is heartworm free. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
