Take a chance on Roxie and you're sure to fall in love! Roxie is an energetic, happy dog who plays hard and snores harder! She is house and crate-trained. Roxie knows basic commands and is super food motivated so she will be easy to train further if you desire. She also listens well to redirection when necessary. Roxie's favorite things include car rides, toys, bones, and snuggles. She LOVES attention! There is no such thing as personal space with Roxie around! Because of her strong tail and belief that she is a lap dog, it's best if Roxie's furever home is without little humans. She also loves to romp and wrestle with her foster brother and does great with all the dogs she's met. A fenced in yard is not required, but Roxie will require multiple walks a day if she can't roam the yard, so a fenced yard is much preferred for her. We are still working on our leash manners, but she is getting better all the time. If you're looking for a total love bug willing to give you endless kisses for your attention, Roxie is your girl!
Roxie came from a rural shelter in Missouri where she had been picked up as a local stray and never reclaimed. She was at the shelter for 3 months when Dolly's Legacy came to her rescue. Now she is ready for a new chapter with a forever home.
Roxie is a female Boxer/Black Mouth Cur mix who weighs 50 lbs and was born approximately 6-8-20. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
