Sadie is a beautiful blue-eyed girl looking for love! She is truly a gorgeous girl with her spotted coat and those ocean blue eyes. She turns heads wherever she goes! Sadie is doing great with house training and has wonderful manners. She LOVES the company of other dogs and would enjoy a home with another dog as a companion, but not required. She plays beautifully with other dogs and absolutely relishes a good wrestling session. Sadie would love a home with a fenced yard, an apartment would not suit her. She absolutely loves to be outdoors and has found that snow is a blast! Sadie is great with kids and will give soft kisses. She’s a goofy girl who will just follow you around the house.
It has been determined that Sadie was born with a birth defect of her hip joints. She essentially has no hip socket. It only appears to affect her when she is getting up from the sitting position, it takes her an extra "umpff" to get up, but then she's off like the wind running & playing. Our vet recommends she be on a joint supplement to help nourish her joints and keep her healthy. She may require anti-inflammatories in the future, but for now she is doing great without them. Her adopter will need to commit to regular monitoring (at least annually) with their vet.
Sadie came into rescue with her brother, Tommy, from rural Oklahoma where they had been found as strays and never reclaimed.
Sadie is a Pointer/Dalmation mix who was born approximately 6-1-22 and weighs 72 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, started on flea/heartworm prevention, tested negative for heartworm disease and given heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $450 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
