I’m supposed to tell you about myself so hold on, folks! My name is Sammy and honestly, you won’t even believe what a perfect guy I am! I think I’m supposed to keep this on the short side but according to my foster mom, there’s a lot to say. Let’s start with the fact that I’m housetrained, fully, and I know to tell you when I need to do my business outside. I don’t really mind the kennel but I’m rarely in there cuz I’m so good free roaming the house so I don’t need to be in there for any reason, that’s what I’m told. I get along with dogs and cats, like one of my favorite foster brothers is this old orange cat here, he and I have a good understanding that we can chill together just fine. So here are a few things my foster mom tells me all the time, I think she really likes me. She tells me I’m about as perfect a foster dog as she has ever had. I am really obedient, I sit, I listen, I play well with others, and I love attention! I get to sleep on an awesome bed now and it’s so cool to have a soft place to lay. She tells me all the time that I have really gorgeous eyes and that makes me feel good. I’m well-behaved and right now, I have to be mellow and calm as I finish my resting period with having Heartworm disease so sometimes I really want to play with my foster sisters and brothers but I keep getting told to stop but I know it’s to help me heal. I’ll tell you though, once I am healed, I’m going to run all over the place and jump around and be a goofball cuz I love to play. My perfect home? I’m told I’m a really gentle guy, kinda big, but super gentle so I think having kids around would be awesome but I haven’t for sure been around any young kids. I’d love to have another dog to play with cuz I really love my current foster siblings a lot so it’s fun to have companions here. I wouldn’t have to have other dogs around, but I’d need to have love and attention from my family if not. I would really be a good watchdog; I always keep an eye out the windows to be sure no one is trying to come get us but I just bark to warn and that’s it. My foster mom says I have a really intimidating low, deep bark and she thinks that cool! I am a total bass! TOYS!!! I’d really like lots of toys, the kind you can’t chew up easily though cuz I love shredding the not-so-tough toys. With all that being said, I’m really hoping for a perfect family. I am so lucky that Dolly’s saved me and brought me up from Missouri cuz I am ready to be the perfect companion you’re looking for! I will NOT disappoint! Sammy is a Yellow Lab/Terrier mix, weighs 70 lbs and was born approximately 4-21-18. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed. X had life-saving treatment for heartworm disease. He will need to remain on heartworm preventative for life, as is recommended for ALL dogs, and retested in 6 months to ensure he is heartworm free. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs.
