Scooter is a free-spirited boy who can easily be mistaken for a sheep! With his fluffy coat and docked tail, it's the first comment everyone who meets him makes, it's a real hoot! He's found a friend in everyone we've introduced him to, whether human, dog or cat. He readily frolics with other dogs and yet will lay down for a cat nap with a kitty pal. He loves the action but will also lay down with a chew bone and keep himself occupied. We would love for Scooter to go to a home where he will get to do lots of exploring and have plenty of exercise. A fenced yard and another dog would be ideal. Apartment life does not suit him. Scooter has the best smile and it is seemingly his favorite expression. He loves life as a rescue pup!
Scooter came into rescue from rural Oklahoma where he had been found as a stray and never reclaimed.
Scooter is a Yellow Labrador Retriever/Stumpy Tail Australian Cattle Dog (our best guess of breeds) who was born approximately 4-1-22 and weighs 45 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, started on flea/heartworm prevention, tested negative for heartworm disease and given heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
