SHERMAN

Hi! My Name Is SHERMAN

We're happy to tell you that SHERMAN has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Sherman is a little delight. He does the begging with his hands and you just want to give him whatever treat he's asking for. He loves to sleep right next to you and his kisses are just as sweet as honey. He will spend all day kissing you if you let him. So we are setting up boundaries on that. He is mostly house trained, but sometimes will mark if another dog or cat has marked there prior. Sherman loves attention and will get jealous if you're giving another dog more of it.  The foster cats tolerate his tiny legs chasing them, and sometimes they will wrestle and then sleep together after. He does great in a kennel and can be in a kennel for a work day if need be. Sherman is very afraid of brushes, so all grooming should be handled by professionals. He does have a double coat so he will need to be groomed every 4-6 weeks as recommended for his thick fur. Sherman was found as a stray locally. He has gotten along with all of the little dogs in the foster home, but has a fear of larger dogs, so we recommend he go to a home without big dogs. As recommended for all small dogs, he will need annual dental at the vet. He does love the treat "yummy combs" which is really good for small dogs to help keep teeth clean. Sherman is just the most affectionate little guy, and would do best with at least one other little dog to keep him company.

Sherman is a Pomeranian/Papillon who weighs 7 lbs and was born approximately 5-3-17. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventive, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventive. He was also given a prefessional dental cleaning.  Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. If interested in adopting one of our available dogs or puppies, please complete an online adoption application at https://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will be contacted by our adoption coordinator via email after your application has been reviewed & approved to schedule an appointment.
