SOCKS

I'm a lanky merle puppy with a knobby head and a brain as sharp as a tack! I learned sit and lay down in 15 minutes, and I'm constantly finding new ways to get into/onto things in my foster home. I am already doing well on a leash, too! I'd love a home with a tall fenced yard as I REALLY like to climb stuff! I also would love a home willing to provide lots of training and puzzles for me to solve. I am friendly and eager to please, and I love dogs and humans. I get a bit rambunctious sometimes so I may be best with dogs my size or larger, a dominant smaller dog that teaches me who's boss, or I'd be fine without a resident dog too. I whine when left alone, but I'm learning to be okay in my kennel and I sleep in it each night. I like to just be around people with the occasional play or head pat, but I'm also okay with doing my own thing. Sometimes I get a little upset with fellow dogs when they get near my food, but I get over it quickly. Socks is a Catahoula Leopard dog mix, weighs 20 lbs (but growing!) and was born approximately 4/15/2020. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventive, dewormed & started on heartworm preventive. Adoption fee is $575 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
