SUNDAY

Hi! My Name Is SUNDAY

We're happy to tell you that SUNDAY has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.
Sunday is one of those dogs that just pulls at you with her adorable face and her wiggles and smiles when she sees you. She loves people and given the opportunity will most definitely give you some hand kisses.
Sunday is proving to be house trained. She is given the opportunity to be able to roam at her foster’s home and loves to chill on a blanket or the area rug and has just recently discovered the couch is pretty comfortable.
Sunday has not been around kiddos or cats, but has done well with her two foster dog sisters—she is pretty indifferent to interacting with them, tending to just do her own thing.
Sunday has done well on a leash for walks (and could certainly benefit from walking). She will likely make you lift her into the car for a ride, be a quiet rider, and then has no problem showing herself out of the car.
Sunday is sure to be a wonderful addition to any family that is ready to have this little ray of sunshine in their hearts and lives—she definitely deserves to be the center of attention.

Sunday has a sad story to tell.  She was a beloved pet and had a best friend companion dog that she adored. Sadly, her owner went into a nursing home leaving Sunday and her companion behind. The son of the owner didn't want to deal with caring for his mother's beloved dogs, so he took out a gun and shot the other dog right in front of Sunday. The neighbor heard the commotion and went outside to find the dog laying dead next to Sunday. He begged the monster son to spare the life of Sunday. This poor girl was so traumatized by losing not only her master, but her best friend. She needs an understanding adopter who wants to heal her hear from such tragic losses.  We are asking that you have a fenced yard and excellent pet ownership history.

Sunday is a Golden Retriever/Corgi mix (our best estimate of breeds) who was was born approximately 3-20-21 and weighs 44 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease and started on heartworm prevention.
