SWEETIE PIE

Hi, my name is Sweetie Pie and I am looking for my forever family here in Nebraska! I’m from Texas and was living a very sad life as a stray in a shelter before Dolly’s Legacy saw me and knew that I deserved a second chance at love and a home. And boy were they right! I am full of energy and I love to play with toys!! I will always need some appropriate toys to chew on available to me so I am busy and happy, and a daily walk helps wear me out. I also have the best time romping with the dog in my foster home. I would love to have a dog friend to play with in my forever home too! I would probably like a dog that is my size or bigger to run with because I do like to play rough, but I would be very kind to a dog that is smaller than me too as I am excellent with cats. I usually just ignore all of the kitties in my foster home, although sometimes they make interesting noises and I have to go check them out. But I’ve never chased one and sometimes they even cuddle with me! Speaking of cuddles, I am getting to know those are the best things ever! I love sleeping with my foster mom on her bed, and snuggling in on the couch with my person and a soft blanket while getting ear rubs is heaven. I’m a little new to trusting people, but I have such a good calm demeanor and I am getting more affectionate every day. I would do best in a home without little kids since they can be extra active and noisy, it would probably scare me. I wasn’t taught any commands before I came to Dolly’s, but my foster mom says I’m “really smart” and I’m learning new things all the time. I’m doing really well with house training too, and if I’m taken outside regularly, I don’t have any accidents. I’m not a fan of this snow stuff Nebraska has everywhere right now, so once that is gone, I know I will love going outside! I have already proven that I live up to my name every day and I promise if you make me part of your family, I will make your life so much sweeter! Sweetie Pie came from a crowded city shelter in Texas where she was in grave danger of being euthanized due to limited space at the shelter & her time was up. Dolly's Legacy came to her rescue and saved her life. Now she is ready for a new chapter with a forever home. Sweetie Pie is a female Feist mix that weighs 29 lbs and was born approximately 4-1-20. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventive, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventive. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
