TOBY

Hi! My Name Is TOBY

I'm Available

Hello! My name is Toby! I came to Dolly's Legacy from a loud & crowded scary shelter in Missouri where I was very scared all the time. First thing was I needed a shower! I didn't mind that, and my new foster humans were impressed. Next, I got to meet the other dogs that live here. It's so AWESOME! There are EIGHT other dogs here, and none of them are barking all the time like the dogs at the shelter did. It only took me an hour to meet them one by one and become friends, which is pretty cool because they are all bigger than me. We go out & in whenever we want, and we all get along great. I like my foster humans best, though. I can't believe how AWESOME life is outside of the shelter. It was so scary in there. I just wanted to love someone, but there's almost no time at all to spend with humans. I was so sad. But these foster humans, they are around me ALL DAY LONG and it's so cool! One took me on a leash walk today so they could tell you how I would do on a walk. Well, we only went a little ways before he gave up on the leash completely and just dropped it. Because I never go more than a couple of feet away. He calls me his shadow. Oh - they also wanted to report on how I would do around cats. So, we went to the shop building, where one of their cats lives. I saw the cat, but didn't care. I had other more important things to do. I'm officially still a puppy, I guess. I am also crate trained and working really hard on the potty training thing. The shelter thought I was seven months old. I weigh 24.5 pounds. My fosters say I need to put on a little bit of weight, and meals here have been five star! The shelter thought I was a beagle mix. My fosters think maybe I have some red tick hound in me. But they seem to like me a lot, so I guess I'm a pretty good dog. In any case, I've had kind of a rough start to life, and I'm really, really glad to be out of the shelter, but more than anything else, I want to meet my forever humans. If you think maybe that could be you, please get your application in to meet me and hopefully take me home. I'm ready to make someone glad they met me.
