TOMMY

Hi! My Name Is TOMMY

We're happy to tell you that TOMMY has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Tommy is a playful, happy go lucky dog that loves toys and people. He is fully potty trained and enjoys walks. He pulls a bit for those pesky squirrels but is doing good on a harness. Tommy will settle down in a crate eventually but if he hears people in the house he will whine to be with them. Tommy currently sleeps beside his foster mom's bed at night and settles down very well. Tommy loves meeting other dogs and would be a great playmate if he went to a home with a dog but it wouldn't be necessary. Tommy likes all people including kids. He was very sweet with a four year old but if the kids were very little it might be problematic because Tommy is working on not jumping up. Tommy has not been cat tested. Tommy will be loving addition to anyone's home.

Tommy came into rescue with his sister, Sadie, from rural Oklahoma where they had been found as strays and never reclaimed. He's definitely more independent and more of a "life of the party" kind of dog, while Sadie is the "sit quietly and not bring attention to herself" type. They both have great temperaments and will each make amazing pets. Tommy has no sense of personal space for dog or human and thinks EVERYONE wants to be his friend. He will put his paws on your shoulders and proceed to give you big, sloppy dog kisses and think that's just how everyone is meant to be greeted. Rude, but we think he's too cute to be corrected (dog trainers, we're sorry!). It's hard to say 'no' to that face and the sheer joy he has for loving up on everyone. If you're looking for an exuberant, happy-go-lucky, carefree companion, Tommy will fill that order, and then some. He's just a barrel of laughs and brings the sunshine with him!

Tommy is a Pointer/Retriever mix who was born approximately 6-1-22 and weighs 76 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, started on flea/heartworm prevention, tested negative for heartworm disease and given heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $450 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs.
