Xander is such a sweet companion. He always gets so excited to meet new people as he seeks attention & protection from them due to not getting much attention in his past. He's still unsure about his surroundings as it is all new to him and different from where he came from. He will follow you around the house and stay as close to you. If you are looking for a great lap dog he is your guy! He is getting more confident about his surroundings and more playful. He is also potty trained which is amazing considering coming from living in an outdoor pen his whole life. He hasn’t had a single accident since he went into his foster home. He is starting to understand the concept of toys as he probably didn't have any before, and loves to get his favorite toys and play with them next to you. Requirements to adopt Xander:
*Must own a home with a fenced yard; no apartment
*Must have exceptional veterinary reference & pet ownership history
*Must be willing to give him time & patience to adjust to a new life
Xander came into rescue as a breeder release. Xander is a male Beagle puppy who was born approximately 1-1-22 and weighs 17 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed and started on flea/heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $500 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
