Some pairs are roommates. Haze and Pickles are a forever kind of bond.
This deeply connected duo does everything together — they sleep together, eat together, play together, cuddle together, and occasionally coordinate a little mischief as a dynamic team. If you’re looking for double the companionship and double the window-sill charm, these two deliver.
Pickles is the outgoing half of the pair — social, confident, and convinced he is both head of security and official spokesperson. Haze is the shy sweetheart who lets her boy take the lead, blooming quietly in his shadow. Together, they balance each other beautifully.
They have excellent litterbox manners and are professional sunbathers, happiest stretched out in a bright window soaking up warmth and peace. Pickles is declawed, which makes a calm, indoor-only home especially important for their safety and comfort.
While they can coexist with other pets, Pickles can be selective and takes his “protector” role seriously. Truthfully? They would be happiest ruling the roost as the only pets, where they can feel secure and adored.
Their Second-Chance Story
Dolly’s Legacy was contacted by a shelter in Central Nebraska after they took in a cat whose microchip traced back to our rescue. Pickles — originally adopted in 2015 — had been surrendered along with his best girl, Haze.
When we learned he was back in the shelter, we didn’t hesitate. And when we realized he had a bonded companion? There was no question — they were coming back together.
They’ve experienced the confusion of losing their home. They’ve leaned on each other through change. Now they deserve stability, safety, and someone who understands that some bonds aren’t meant to be broken.
This isn’t just an adoption. It’s their chance at permanence.
Why Adopt a Bonded Pair?
Because their love for each other is part of who they are.
Haze and Pickles comfort each other, entertain each other, and transition more smoothly because they have their constant. Adopting them together preserves that security and gives them the emotional foundation they’ve already built.
You’re not adopting two cats.
You’re giving a bonded pair the forever they were meant to have.
