My name is Trinity, because I have three legs. I scoot around a bit on my remaining back leg, but that doesn't slow me down, just gives me a funny-looking walk. This is a way of walking I adapted to when dealing with my injured leg. With time, it's expected I'll gain strength in my back leg and grow out of the scooting. In spite of the rough start, I'm a happy, health kitty. I'm very playful and I have excellent litterbox manners. I love to watch birds out the windows. I'm a little unsure of other kitties at first, but with time, I look forward to making friends with any resident cats or dogs in my forever home.
This poor kitty was found dragging her back legs around for so long she had chronic wounds. She urgently needed care to determine the extent of her injuries and how to get back to having quality of life. As soon as we heard of her plight, Dolly's Legacy came to her rescue to save her from continued suffering. She was immediately taken to a veterinary hospital, admitted for care of her wounds, and after 10 days of treatment, underwent amputation of her right hind leg. We decided to name her Trinity, representing her sheer determination to survive and now triumphing as a tri-pawd. She is recovering like a champ and tolerating all treatments like a breeze! She is receiving laser therapy to her amputation site to help speed healing. As soon as Trinity is recovered, she will be ready for the next chapter in her life, a forever home!
