NUTTER BUTTER

Hi! My Name Is NUTTER BUTTER

We're happy to tell you that NUTTER BUTTER has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.
Nutter Butter has not had an easy time of it. He broke his front two legs in two different incidences within a week. He's is a very active dog who has been on kennel restriction for over a month. He snuggles with his foster mom, but can't be let out of the kennel without complete supervision because he WILL get into something. He likes some dogs, and is mostly indifferent to cats. He has some mouthy reactions when he's scared or nervous, understanding with his being in pain for the majority of his time in foster care, but potential adopters need to know. He stopped this behavior with his foster mom after a couple days, but is still not pleased with vet staff. Because of his cast and activity restriction, we have not seen how he does on a harness or leash, but he does well on a slip lead. He loves to play, and his foster mom has tried to keep him actively entertained in his kennel with puzzle toys. He had no idea he's not supposed to be jumping or running, his foster mom has had a time keeping him settled, but if he can snuggle.... He likes to snuggles. He loves pill pockets and Yummy Combs. He is not overly kissy, but when he does give kisses-you know you earned that Nutty Goodness, smooth as butter those kisses are. He's a very smart boy who responds to Skippy, Skipper, Nutter, Butters, Nutty, etc. He should not be with small children because 1. He's very fragile 2. He may be nippy.  Nutter Butter needs an experienced dog owner who doesn't have more than a couple of stairs to traverse, and willing to give him plenty of time to adjust to a new life, new routine, new people, and new experiences.

Nutter Butter is a male Chihuahua/Min Pin mix. He has the body & head of a Chihuahua, but the long, tiny legs of a Min Pin. He weighs 9 lbs and was born approximately 7-1-19. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventative. His adoption packet will include records from Kansas State. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
