Annie is bashful and mellow girl who loves to cuddle once she has been given time to adjust to new people & new surroundings. She likes older kids and is gentle with them, although young kids would likely startle & overwhelm her. Annie is great with other dogs and seems to enjoy having another dog with her. She is house trained and doing great with her manners. She has not been tested with cats. Loud noises & cars/people passing near her tend to frighten her, so Annie will need a home with a fenced yard to keep her feeling safe & secure from things that are scary to her. She is not trained to use a harness or leash. She is kennel trained and sleeps in her kennel at night. Annie will need a patient & experienced owner with a gentle spirit willing to give her time to adjust to a new life. Apartment living would not suit her. A noisy home with raised voices or chaos would be unsettling for her. We are seeking an equally gentle human to match her personality so she can be at her happiest in the next chapter of her life.
Annie is a female Dachshund/SharPei/mix pup (our best guess of breed mixes, she is a bit of a mystery!) who was born approximately 4-23-21 and weighs 16 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $450 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
