Hi! My Name Is BAYLOR

We're happy to tell you that BAYLOR has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Imagine a quiet young hound who loves to play, gets along with everyone he meets, is a dream on a leash, and is an absolute expert level cuddler. Baylor is an active pup who loves to be by your side. He’s friendly with every dog he’s met, and even cats! In fact, he would probably love to go to a home with another dog sibling to play with. Baylor isn’t as chatty as a typical hound, but he does have the vertical jump of one, so he just needs someone who’s willing to keep a close eye on him while he’s getting adjusted. He’s potty trained, does well in his kennel, and is already close to mastering “sit”, “stay” and “come”. If you’re looking for a very affectionate goofball that loves everyone he meets, Baylor is the dog for you!

Baylor came from a crowded city shelter in Texas where he was in grave danger of being euthanized due to limited space at the shelter & his time was up. Dolly's Legacy came to his rescue and saved his life. Now he is ready for a new chapter with a forever home. Baylor is a male Harrier (like a Beagle but bigger), weighs 50 lbs and was born approximately 8-10-20. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventative. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. If interested in adopting one of our available dogs or puppies, you must first complete an online adoption application at You will be contacted by our adoption coordinator via email after your application has been reviewed & approved to schedule an appointment. Our website is updated daily, pets that are listed are still available.
