Buck has the soul of a young pup. He absolutely LOVES to play ball with his people. He could just play for hours. He also enjoys long strolls around the neighborhood. He is learning how to walk better on the leash as he gets so excited and can pull at times. Buck would do great in a home with a fenced in yard where he can run around and explore. He would also do best in a home with older kids as he doesn’t realize how big he is and may knock little ones over when he gets excited (he has "happy tail"!). He loves the company of another dog and would do great with another pal in the home or he would even be fine as the only one soaking up all the attention. He hasn’t been tested with cats but that is definitely something we can test. Buck is such a smart boy, he knows how to sit, lay down & is even kennel & house trained. Requirements to adopt Buck: Home ownership with a LARGE fenced yard, ability to handle an XL dog and take for daily walks, ability to provide year round heartworm preventative & verifiable exceptional pet ownership history
Buck is a Yellow Labrador Retriever weighing 115 lbs and was born approximately 1-10-16. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventive & dewormed. He was provided life-saving heartworm treatment and will need to be retested in 6 months to ensure he is heartworm free, and is required to be kept on heartworm preventative year round. If you are not able to or cannot commit to providing that for him, please do not apply. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs.
