Howie is a big, soft, gentle teddy bear. He exudes joy from every part of his being. You can't help but feel happy when around him. True to the Lab nature, he loves everyone he meets and greets with a hardy tail wag and dance of his paws. He melds seamlessly with other dogs, content to be focused more on people. Howie is an adventure seeker and wants to be a part of whatever you are doing. He would love an equally adventure-minded person or family to take him exploring, camping, swimming and all the awesome things life has to offer. He would love a big fenced yard to roam freely in, or an acreage where he is safe, so that he can chase all the smells, squirrels, and of course, tennis balls. We are completely smitten with our Howie, and will only send him to an amazing home that is worthy of his awesomeness.
Howie was found in rural Lancaster County where he was roaming alone near a lake, with no owner to be found for over a month.

He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventive, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventive. He also had a dental procedure to get his teeth nice & clean. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. If interested in adopting one of our available dogs or puppies, you must first complete an online adoption application at https://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will be contacted by our adoption coordinator via email after your application has been reviewed & approved to schedule an appointment.
