Hello there I’m Jake! No. I don’t wear khakis or work at State Farm, but I am the most handsome boy with the fluffiest of tails. I hope you have a surplus of toys ready for me because I love to play and chew. I need to be kept busy otherwise I am attracted to shoes or objects left on the floor. If you have a snack, I sure don’t mind sharing what you’re eating. My favorite is oyster crackers because they are so crunchy. I am house and kennel trained if you were wondering. Do you have a backyard that we can play in? My foster fur siblings showed me around theirs and now I can’t wait to have one of my own. I am told that I am the perfect balance of playful and chill. I love a good run and play session with my people but afterwards I’m ready to find a spot to relax and nap, and of course snuggle. As much as I’ve loved the time with my foster family, I’m ready for my own to find me and keep me forever. Jake came from a crowded city shelter in Texas where he was in grave danger of being euthanized due to limited space at the shelter & his time was up. Dolly's Legacy came to his rescue and saved his life. Now he is ready for a new chapter with a forever home. Jake is a Great Pyrenees/mix (built more like a Golden Retriever), weighs 60 lbs and was born approximately 3-27-19. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventative. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
