Pete is a total sweetheart and wants to be by your side all the time. He loves to sleep next to you under the covers at night. A perfect couch buddy. He also loves squeaky toys and likes a little game of fetch and tug of war. He walks well on leash and is totally house trained. He will cry some in a kennel but will soon give up and go to sleep. He gets along with all other dogs but does want to chase and bark at cats. Pete loves treats and will sometimes sit for them. Pete does get very scared with thunderstorms and will need to be kept completely safe during those scary times for him. Pete is an absolute joy.

Pete's story.... 
Pete came into rescue as a found dog running the street. He has no collar or tag but was chipped. After trying to get a hold of the family it was learned that his dad was in the hospital and probably wouldn't make it. The family didn't want Pete and opened the front door for him to run and fend for himself. He was found approximately 7 miles from his home on a busy street. Thank God he was picked up by a caring person and brought to safety.
 
Pete is a male Chiweenie who was born approximately 12-16-17 and weighs 11 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $450 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
