I'm a sweet, mellow girl with an adorable face and ears. I'm very easygoing -- I'm mostly just happy to be around humans that are nice to me, and my big tail is constantly wagging to show it. Further, I can get along with most anyone -- people, other dogs, even cats (my foster had one, and we got along great). However, I would probably enjoy a quiet environment best -- I'm never hyper or high energy, and would prefer to be around others like me. I like to go on moderate walks, and will join you anywhere you want to go outdoors. I do get distracted by the various sights and smells I encounter (I am a hound after all), but I won't pull on the leash excessively or try to run away. Skye came from a crowded city shelter in Texas where she was in grave danger of being euthanized due to limited space at the shelter & her time was up. Dolly's Legacy came to her rescue and saved her life. Now she is ready for a new chapter with a forever home. Skye is a female Bloodhound, weighs 70 lbs and was born approximately 8-25-18. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventative. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
