Hi there! My name is Tippy.  Here's my little story that I'd like to share with you. My human passed away recently. After years as her companion, my brothers and I found ourselves in a shelter. Thankfully an amazing rescue rescued us and brought us to Lincoln so we can live with a foster until our forever homes are found. I have spent most of the last several years with a bedridden human, so I'm a snuggling professional. I also excel at kisses. I am more reserved than my brother Half-Pint and it takes me longer to trust. I had a terrible, bad, no good, haircut at the shelter so it's a bit sparse back there. If you pick me up, I'll snuggle all into you, but on my terms. I'm learning to do my business outside, I'm doing pretty good! I'm also good in a kennel but can't be left out on free roam yet. I do know my name quite well. I'm learning to like treats. My foster human is bribing me with buddig meat and cheese. I appreciate the nomnoms. I sleep with my foster mom and 6 other small dogs. My brother Half-Pint and I are here together. We'd like to find a forever home together, but we're ok if we have other wee dogs to keep us company. between the two of us, I'm more quiet and hold back.  I would really prefer a secure fenced yard so I can sniff out all the smells at my own pace. I should never be left outside unattended even inside a fence because of my teeny tiny size. A hawk or fox could make a getaway with me in a split second. An experienced home with toy breeds is necessary and I will need regular visits to the doggy salon. My foster mom thinks that once you earn my trust and I feel comfortable, my personality will be big and bold like the tip of the iceberg: What you see at first is nothing like what's under the surface.
