Hi there I'm Wally. I'm one of the sweetest pups ever. I am the perfect mix of labrador and beagle. I love to play with the other dogs in my foster home and know to be gentle with the older pup and the little one. I am respectful of the mean old cat and love to snuggle with the big fluffy cats! My favorite toys are large plush squeaky toys. I'm still learning that pillows do not fall in the category of toys. I do really good with women, I can still be a little nervous when meeting men. My foster mom has been having male neighbors come over to meet me and give me treats and I'm learning they aren't bad and warm up quickly! I am interested but cautious when I see children. I do hate being left alone. I do pretty well being crated if I have toys and a kong. I will put up a fit for the first 10-20 minutes then I calm down and am fine. I have never had an accident in my kennel but do still have some accidents inside the house. I walk pretty well on leash when I walk with the other dogs but get a little more excited when walking alone. I'm quiet for a Beagle mix. My favorite activity is snuggling on the couch. I let my foster mom trim and dremel my nails every few days as long as I get to lay in her lap and watch what she is doing. I think given a little time to adjust, I would adapt to just about any family pretty easily!
Wally had a family but tragedy struck when their home burned to the ground. Wally had been inside but escaped the fire unharmed. Sadly, his family was unable to take him with them and surrendered him to their local shelter. Wally is a happy-go-lucky type of dog who craves human attention. He would love a person or family where he can be with someone most of the time. He absolutely loves cats and other dogs, so a home with another pet as a companion would make him happiest. A fenced yard would be super so he can romp & play freely.
